Tickets Purchased

I took a deep breath and purchased my plane tickets today. I'll be leaving from San Francisco the evening of June 2nd and returning on June 24th. Nerve-wracking.

Application Approved

On February 14th I submitted an application for a Barks-Guerry Global Study Grant to travel to New Zealand. 
On February 24th I learned that my grant had been approved. 
On February 25th I decided to start this blog about the journey. 
My trip has three primary purposes:

1. To see New Zealand.
2. To visit Albany Senior High School and see how they implement a, "curriculum for the 21st century that includes student-directed, project-based learning and dedicated tutorial time."
3. To meet and work with professional photographers.
