Workshop Day 1

Today was the first day of the three-day portrait workshop. It was a long and productive day, but I've learned I need to keep practicing my composition in terms of seeing the light. Jackie, our instructor, is an amazing photographer, as is her husband and quasi-instructor Mike, and they've done a good job passing along their knowledge thus far. In other good news, there is just one other person in the class with me. We had some amazing luck in finding a willing model in the gardens today; she was a good sport to stick with us amateurs all day. Looking forward to another full day tomorrow!
